Thank you for downloading your copy of my album “Aquatic Alchemy”. It has been quite an adventure in the creative process as I wanted to explore more of Jules Verne’s themes. In my previous album, “Obsidian Dreams”, I was inspired by Verne’s classic “Journey to the Center of the Earth”, and had the tracks revolve around the concept of going into the volcano and travelling through its depths to the earth’s core and back. In this latest album, I decided to go to the ocean instead, and based it around “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea” which was always one of my favorite novels to read. The idea behind “Aquatic Alchemy” is almost like a storyboard concept, a Jules Verne inspired task where each song is a sonic journey for the listener. There are cues within each track that allows the listener to imagine the various elements of the adventure come to life. Take your personal audio journey, like the classic “Choose Your Own Adventure” books, and hope you are able to enjoy each phase as I did while producing this. Happy Listening, Junken Rom
